Mr. O’Brien is Chairman and CEO of Port Capital, LLC., a global asset management firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. O’Brien has been active in healthcare and environmental public policy efforts throughout his career. In addition to his work with the de Beaumont Foundation, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago Medical Center where he chairs the Finance Committee and also serves on the Executive Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sheriffs Meadow Foundation, a land trust on the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. Mr. O’Brien also was appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to the National Park Foundation in 2015. He graduated from Boston College with Honors.
