Public health practitioners have a pressing need for relevant, actionable, practice-based research. The Journal of Public Health Management & Practice (JPHMP) is a peer-reviewed, bimonthly publication founded in 1995, with an objective to foster public health practitioners’ ability to conceive, design, manage, and carry through population-based public health measures and to encourage authorship by public health practitioners. Stemming from a September 2014 convening hosted by the de Beaumont Foundation, JPHMP has developed 14 main strategic goals to best distill, package, and disseminate the latest practice-based research in a format optimally suited for easy and rapid utilization by practitioners. JPHMP will develop resources to maximize the impact of the Journal in order to improve practice, research, and policy in rapidly changing public health environments.
